Danny in 2007 received a BAFTA television award nomination for Best Photography and Lighting for his work on Longford, and another in 2008 for Joe's Palace

Danny also received a shared an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or a Movie for John Adams, directed by Tom Hooper.

Danny's other film and television credits include: Dead Man's Shoes, Pierrepoint: The Last Hangman, Glorious 39, and Pirate Radio

Danny collaborated with Tom Hooper on the Oscar winning film, The King's Speech, for which he was nominated for an Oscar and a BAFTA for Best Cinematography. 

Danny recently was the Director of Photography on Tom Hooper’s adaptation of the musical Golden Globe winning and Oscar nominated, Les Miserables, set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption.
