Luis has worked with the biggest talent agencies in
Mexico, and is known for new talent discovery, including
non-professional actors whose passion on storytelling embraced him
to develop workshops in several cities and rural communities
throughout Mexico.
Luis' casting work includes the films The Chosen Ones, Tales of an Immoral Couple, Wind Traces, The Darkest Days of Us, the series Luis Miguel and House of Flowers. More recently he casted for
Chicuarotes and the Academy Award winning film
Roma.
Several actors in Luis' films have been
nominated for or won Ariel Awards, the Mexican
Academy of Film awards, and most recently actresses Yalitza Aparicio and Marina de Tavira have been nominated for Oscars
for their work in Roma.
