Darrin's decade-long relationship with William Friedkin evolved in 2005 when he edited his acclaimed psychological thriller, Bug.
Since then, Darrin has escaped the confines of genre and storytelling styles, bringing his rigorous eye and narrative sense to Azazel Jacobs' offbeat comedies, Momma'S Man and Terri, Paul Solet's dramatic horror film, Grace, and Alison Bagnall's The Dish & The Spoon, starring Greta Gerwig, and the music documentary Re:Generation, directed by Amir Bar-Lev.
Darrin reunited with William Friedkin for Killer Joe, starring Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch, and Juno Temple.
More recently, Darrin edited James Ponsoldt's The Spectacular Now, starring Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley, about hard-partying high school senior's philosophy on life changes when he meets the not-so-typical "nice girl."
