Nicolas has won Golden Reel Awards for his work on Micmacs and Gravity.

His film scoring work includes the films: Foreign Body, Treat Me Like Fire, and A Prayer Before Dawn, Memory House, and Carnation.

Nicolas has recently won acclaim for his work in both composing and sound design for the film, Sound Of Metal, about a recovered addict metal musician who completely loses his hearing.
