Austrian Cinematographer, Peter Zeitlinger, worked as Director of Photography on Werner Herzog’s documentary, Death For Five Voices in 1995, continuing this collaboration up to Cave Of Forgotten Dreams and beyond.  

Cave of Forgotten Dreams was shot in 3D inside the Chauvet caves of Southern France, capturing the oldest known pictorial creations of humankind in their natural setting.

Peter shot the documentary film Encounters at the End of the World showcasing the landscapes of Antarctica which was nominated for the Academy Award.

Additionally, Peter is known for his cinematograhy work on several documentary and narrative films including: Little Dieter Needs to Fly, Rescue Dawn, Invincible, The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans, and My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done.
