Critically and internationally acclaimed Canadian writer and
director, Ruba Nadda has written and directed over a
dozen shorts, including Aadan,
Unsettled, and Do
Nothing. Ruba's
films have been shown over 500 times in film festivals around the
world with over 30 retrospectives of her work.
In 2005, Ruba wrote and directed her first feature film, Sabah, which had Atom
Egoyan as an executive producer and starred Arsinee
Khanjian.
Ruba's 2nd feature film, Cairo Time was filmed
on location in Egypt. Cairo Time is a love
letter to a city intertwined with a love story about a woman.
It stars Patricia Clarkson and Alexander
Siddig.
Cairo Time had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it won Best Canadian Feature Film and has enchanting audiences in cinemas worldwide.
