Evgeni Tomov - Art Director & Production Designer

Evgeni Tomov, is a Production Designer, Conceptual Artist, and Illustrator specializing in feature length and short animated films, and animated TV series.  Originally from the former Soviet Union, Evgeni moved to Montreal, where he worked
as an Art Director and Illustrator for several advertising agencies.

In 1997, his role as Assistant Art Director on the animated short The Old Lady and the Pigeons was his first collaboration
on an Oscar® nominated film for French animation director Sylvain Chomet

Evgeni then worked on numerous children's TV series for the Canadian studio CINAR Animation. As Environment Design Supervisor for CINAR, he developed the series Animal Crackers and Mona the Vampire. He then also worked as a background painter for the Cactus Animation series Fennec Le Détective.

Evgeni again worked with Sylvain Chomet as Art Director and Production Designer on the Oscar® nominated French animated feature The Triplets of Belleville.

Evgeni worked at Chomet’s Studio Django in Scotland on film development, including working as development art director for
the Oscar® nominated animated feature The Illusionist, a bittersweet tale of a French magician struggling to survive in a
world that no longer seems to need him.

Evgeni has worked as Production Designer on The Tale of Despereaux and the upcoming Arthur Christmas, a co-
production between Aardman Animations and Sony Pictures.

Jason Carpenter - Animator - Carpenter Bros. Animation and The Renter

Originally trained as a painter, Jason Carpenter has an expressive, organic style with a focus on light and shadow. 

Jason received an MFA from Calarts in Experimental Animation, where he further developed his story and filmmaking skills. 

When he's not working on his own animated projects, Jason collaborates with his brother Michael as half of Carpenter Bros. Animation

Together they direct art and animation for commercials, tv shows, theme parks, and museum exhibits.

One of Jason's personal animated projects, is the Annie nominated short film, The Renter. The Renter is based on a true story and follows the journey of a young boy who is cared for by an elderly woman during the day.

Eric Howell - Stunt Coordinator and Director

Eric Howell has worn multiple hats on a plethora of both independent and studio films: from camera operator, effects technician, stuntman, and locations scout, to dolly grip, director and producer.

Eric joined the Screen Actors Guild to begin performing as a stuntman and bit-part actor. This experience in turn propelled Eric into stunt coordination and 2nd unit directing. Credits include: A Simple Plan, Untamed Heart, The Mighty Ducks, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Factorum, Older Than America, and A Serious Man

Eric’s producing and directing experience began with the international award winning short The Interview, the first motion picture to be shot on film and debuted on the internet and has writen several highly praised feature length screenplays.

Eric dove back into directing and emerged with his internationally acclaimed Ana's Playground, and was shortlisted for an Academy Award, about the moment when a child, Ana, who is forced to choose between ideology and humanity while living and playing in a dangerous war environment.
