Barbara Muschietti - Producer/Writer - Toma 78 and Mama (short film to feature film)

Barbara Muschietti is a an Argentinean executive producer of the Cannes Golden Lion Award Winning production Toma 78 in Barcelona, Spain.

Toma 78 provides General Production, casting, location scouting, styling, hair and make up, set design and prop rental, accommodation and logistics in a variety of creative advertising spots and film. 

Their clients include: Coca Cola and BAFICI (Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Films).

Barbara and brother writer and director Andy Muschietti created a horror short called Mamá that has been raved about in a number of film festivals in Europe, which was translated into a feature film.  It was also screened in the Short Short Story Film Festival in the United States in 2009.

Mama is about two girls, Victoria and Lily, who are on the run from a ghostly woman who appears to be their mother in a Gothic home. 

The feature version of Mama was executive produced by Guillermo Del Toro after being impressed with the short version of the film.

Rasmus Videbaek - Cinematographer from Denmark - Noi the Albino, King's Game, The Good Heart, Island of Lost Souls, Truth About Men, and A Royal Affair

Rasmus graduated at the National Film School of Denmark as Cinematographer and has worked on commercials, short films, and feature films over the years in Denmark.

Rasmus has worked awarding award winning features like Noi the Albino, King’s Game, and Island of Lost Souls. Rasmus was also the cinematographer on the  features, The Good Heart and Truth About Men.

His more recent feature is A Royal Affair, about a young queen, who is married to an insane king, falls secretly in love with her physician - and together they start a revolution that changes a nation forever.  

A Royal Affair is up for many awards including a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film.

Jeff Orlowski - Director and Cinematographer - Geocaching: From the Web to the Woods, The Strange Case, and Chasing Ice

Jeff's previous work has taken him to the Tour de France for a behind-the-scenes documentary, and he has photographed and filmed a number of people including Robin Williams, Jane Goodall, and Nelson Mandela.

Jeff's short film, Geocaching: From the Web to the Woods, won Best Short Doc at the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival and Jeff won the Best Editing award for his film The Strange Case at the Action on Film Festival.

Jeff's imagery has exhibited at: The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, The Aspen Institute, The Scripps Institute, The United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, and before the U.S Congress on Capitol Hill.

In 2007, Jeff got his first taste of the Arctic when as a Stanford student he worked as a videographer with National Geographic photographer James Balog on the initial expedition of The Extreme Ice Survey (or EIS). 

That winter, the EIS team scouted and filmed glaciers that now appear in the recent documentary feature film Chasing Ice

Chasing Ice follows National Geographic photographer James Balog across the Arctic as he deploys time-lapse cameras designed for one purpose: to capture a multi-year record of the world's changing glaciers.

Tobias Datum - Cinematographer - Chaurahen, How The Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer, I'm Gonna Explode, Amreeka, Terri, and Smashed

Tobias has worked on a variety of films over the years and in different locations including: Chaurahen in India, How The Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer, Drama/Mex and I’m Gonna Explode in Mexico, and Amreeka in Ramallah, Manitoba, and Chicago.

Tobias was also the director of photographer on Momma’s Man and Terri for Azazel Jacobs.  Tobias has done additional photography on the films: The Future and First Position.

More recently Tobias was Director of Photography on the film, Smashed, about a married couple whose bond is built on a mutual love of alcohol gets their relationship put to the test when the wife decides to get sober.

Lena Selander - Swedish Artist, Art Director, and Production Designer - Before the Storm, Almost Elvis, Beloved, and Simon & the Oaks

Lena started out as a set designer and has dedicated herself to painting and makes a living as an artist. 

Lena has focused on working as an theatre and film production designer and art director.

Lena's film work includes production designer and/or art direction on the feature films: Before the Storm, Almost Elvis, Beloved, and the more recent multi-award winning Simon & the Oaks, about secrets discovered of two boys coming of age in Sweden during World War II.

Seher Latif, C.S.A. - Indian Casting Director - Outsourced, Eat Pray Love, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and Zero Dark Thirty

Seher’s feature films casting director projects both in India and abroad include the films and series: Outsourced, the TV Series Bollywood Hero, and Eat Pray Love, which include background and featured actors.  

Seher is a member of the Casting Society of America.  

More recently, she was the Indian Casting director for John Madden’s film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, casting for the all of the Indian roles in the film opposite a British all-star cast.

Upcoming projects for Seher include casting for: Save Your LegsGandhi of the MonthMonsoon Shootout, and Indian casting for Kathryn Bigelow’s new film, Zero Dark Thirty.

Brian Cassidy and Melanie Shatzky - Filmmakers of Pigeon Projects - The Patron Saints & Francine

Living comfortably at the margins of documentary and narrative cinema, Brian M. Cassidy and Melanie Shatzky of Pigeon Projects forgo conventional storytelling methods in order to accommodate stark imagery, elusive characters and a deadpan realism.

Filmmaker Magazine has named Brian and Melanie as part of the "25 New Faces of Independent Film". 

Brian and Melanie have shown their work at the SundanceRotterdamToronto, and Edinburgh film festivals and won awards at the European Media Art Festival, the Chicago International Film Festival, and the Athens International Film Festival

Their recent documentary, The Patron Saints, is a disquieting and hyper-realistic glimpse into life at a nursing home. Their first narrative feature, Francine, stars Academy Award winner Melissa Leo playing a woman struggling to find her place in a downtrodden lakeside town after leaving behind a life in prison.  

Francine along with The Patron Saints continue to play worldwide in a variety of international film festivals.

Lee Percy - Film Editor and Filmmaker - Reversal of Fortune, Boys Don't Cry, A Love Song for Bobby Long, Grey Gardens, Dreaming American

Lee has edited several performances that garnered Oscars for actors such as William Hurt in Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jeremy Irons in Reversal of Fortune, and Hilary Swank in Boys Don't Cry

Some of Lee's other film editing projects include: Maria Full Of Grace, The Believer, A Love Song for Bobby Long, The Ice Harvest, and The Center of the World

Lee won the Emmy award for the HBO production of Taking Chance and that same year won the Eddie award, for editors by editors, for Grey Gardens.

Recently, Lee has been editing for the upcoming features Disconnect and Carrie, and the short film Dreaming American, which he wrote and directed, has been touring festivals and winning several awards.

Christopher Ford - Screenwriter - Stickman series (Comedy Central), Robot & Frank, Clown

After graduating from NYU film school, Christopher co-founded Waverly Films in New York City.  

Christopher created Webby Award winning web shows, short films, projects for Comedy Central, and a graphic novel series called Stickman Odyssey

Christopher’s first produced screenplay is Robot & Frank starring Frank Langella, Peter Sarsgaard, and Susan Sarandon

Robot & Frank is set in the near future, where an ex-jewel thief receives a gift from his son: a robot butler programmed to look after him and the two companions try their luck as a heist team.

Christopher recently completed a screenplay for the horror film Clown, executive produced by Eli Roth.

Rebecca Richman Cohen - Documentary Filmmaker - War Don Don and Code of the West

Rebecca founded Racing Horse Productions in 2005. Rebecca is a lecturer on law at Harvard Law School teaching two classes in human rights and film. 

In law school, Rebecca interned as an investigator at the Bronx Defenders and continued to do investigative work at the Special Court for Sierra Leone, after working there, she returned to Sierra Leone to begin production on War Don Don, a film which profiles the trial of a leader of a separate warring faction.

Between trips to Sierra Leone, she has also been adjunct faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and the Human Rights Institute at American University

More recently, Rebecca has completed the documentary film, Code of the West, about the state of Montana is becoming the first in the US to repeal its medical marijuana law. 

Rebecca has received coverage with an article published in the NY Times and Code of the West has launched a popular Kickstarter campaign for the film.
